- Leaky Ni-Cd clock battery
The Ni-Cd battery may be leaking, risking damage to PCB layers & nearby components. Promptly remove the battery & clean corrosion/alkaline salts from the board. Use white vinegar to dissolve salts, but exercise caution as vinegar can corrode exposed metals. A thorough examination & repair may be needed. Notes
This is a mashup between the OPTi Python and OPTi Cobra chipsets. Instead of the 82C596, the 82C546 is used, while the rest of the components are taken from the Cobra chipset. Otherwise this board is identical to https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/dataexpert-exp8054
