Also known as:
- ASUS 60-M9L0A0-D02
Notes:
A8V Deluxe has VIA VT6307 and PROMISE 20378
Revision 2.0 has number of board refinements and a working PCI/AGP lock
This board fully supports Registered ECC DDR-SDRAM modules with almost all Socket 939 Processors. Even Semprons. However when running a full 8GB of RAM the stability of the memory controller is up to your particular processor.
Faults:
- Some boards may complain of 5V USB over-current fault after post and then shut off after 15 second timeout. To resolve this issue, disable the USB1.1 support in BIOS for all but 4 ports.
- Due to poor design choices on ASUS part the A8V and A8V Deluxe boards fail POST if you have a PCI POST code debug card installed in the lowest (5th) PCI slot.
- The Marvell 88E8001 ethernet controller may sometimes fail in a manner whereby it generates excessive Interrupt events, this drastically slows down the system. The only fix is to disable the Ethernet controller in BIOS or replace it with a new chip.
