- Faulty or Leaking Electrolytic Capacitors
Some motherboards may contain faulty or leaking electrolytic capacitors, which can negatively impact system performance or stability. These capacitors may exhibit issues such as bulging, leaking, or even exploding, potentially damaging other components on the motherboard. Users should inspect their capacitors regularly and replace any that are faulty or leaking to avoid damage or system instability.

Due to unknown reasons, UNIFLASH doesn't work properly on this board. For BIOS flashing, either AWDFLASH 7.91 or 7.83 M4 can be used.

VER:2 boards have a J3 jumper (on bottom left of the IrDA connector) for enabling BIOS write protection when shorted. However, its pins are not soldered on the Compaq variant (unsure about others).

The ISA slots are unpopulated on the Compaq variant even though their pinouts are present. Despite this, they can be populated by soldering new slots onto the pinouts, as this has been confirmed to work without any issues.

Retail MSI BIOS has been confirmed to work on the Compaq variant without issues.
