- Leaky Ni-Cd clock battery
The Ni-Cd battery may be leaking, risking damage to PCB layers & nearby components. Promptly remove the battery & clean corrosion/alkaline salts from the board. Use white vinegar to dissolve salts, but exercise caution as vinegar can corrode exposed metals. A thorough examination & repair may be needed. 1) works with simms or with onboard sockets but not both 2) Board works with MR Bios 1.65 V032B300 3) Board is stable with large IDE drives SIIG enhanced IDE option rom, did not have much luck with C&T BIOS, Xtide Bios, or MR Bios
