  • The board can make use of AM2+ CPUs with a Coreboot BIOS
  • Due to a hardware bug in the VIA VT8237A southbridge, most SATA II and newer drives will not be able to run at the rated speed and drop to SATA I if either the drive firmware can detect it or the drive is jumpered for SATA I mode.
  • The Marvell 88SE6121 controller has a broken IDE implementation. If a driver (Windows or Linux) probes for IDE devices when they do not exist, it will cause the chip to lock up in silicon and become unresponsive until system is rebooted (source)
