The Tecmar 8-bit ISA expansion chassis consists of two 8-bit ISA cards that function as an ISA bridge, and a chassis that encases a power supply and an 8-bit ISA backplane with 8 slots. The power supply is required as the cards electrically isolate the chassis and backplane from the PC (12V and 5V power pins are not bridged over the ribbon cable, although ground is). The two bridge cards are connected with a pair of 50-pin ribbon cables, P1 and P2; P1 on one card connects to P1 on the other, and P2 likewise connects to P2. All parts are required for the expansion chassis to be used.
The bridge cards are:
Part #200023: PC-side bridge card (labelled "IBM COMP")
Part #200024: Expansion chassis-side bridge card (labelled "TECMAR COMP")
The backplane is part #200021. The power connectors consist of a 5-pin molex and a 3-pin molex. The 3-pin consists of two ground connections and a 'dummy' that isn't connected to anything. The 5-pin molex contains the 12V+, 12V-, two 5V+ and 5V- connectors. The power supply is bespoke and unshelled, the chassis itself the only protection against accidental shock hazard.
