- Misleading AGP slot/specification
The expansion card may feature a misleading AGP slot/specification.
Notably:
- Universal card, but is actually only runs at 3.3V or 1.5V (ex: Universal AGP card will only run at 3.3V signaling)
- The expansion card doesn't support the advertised speeds (ex: AGP 4x videocard only runs at 2x even in a 4x slot)
- The expansion card AGP connector doesn't match with the appropiate AGP version (ex: AGP 4x card with a 3.3V only connector)
See notes for detailed info for your hardware.
- Early G400s often won't run 4x, identified with part numbers that start "G4+MDHA" instead of "G4+MDH4A"
