Variant of Intel 440BX with some features removed for the budget market, mainly intended for the Celeron.

Some of the main differences compared with 440BX chipset:

  • No support for Dual Processor operation
  • Supports up to 4 PCI Masters instead of 5 PCI Masters
  • RAM support up to 512 MB RAM of PC66/100 SDRAM (Half of the banks as 440BX)
  • No support for ECC and/or Registered memory
