Overview

The ICS512 is a cost-effective solution for generating high-quality, high-frequency clock output and reference clock from a lower frequency crystal or clock input. The LOCO (Low Cost Oscillator) is designed to replace crystal oscillators in most electronic systems. Using Phase-Locked-Loop (PLL) techniques, it leverages a standard fundamental mode, inexpensive crystal to produce output clocks up to 200 MHz. This chip, along with an affordable crystal, can replace two oscillators.

Key Features:

  • Available in 8-pin SOIC or die package, with lead-free option
  • Upgrade of popular ICS502 with changed multiplier table and higher operating frequencies
  • Zero ppm multiplication error
  • Easy to cascade with other 5xx series
  • Input crystal frequency range: 5 - 27 MHz
  • Input clock frequency range: 2 - 50 MHz
  • Output clock frequencies up to 200 MHz
  • Compatible with all popular CPUs
  • Duty cycle of 45/55 up to 200 MHz
  • Mask option for nine selectable frequencies
  • Operating voltages of 3.0 to 5.5 V
  • Industrial temperature version available
  • Advanced, low power CMOS process
