Overview

The ADT7460 controller is designed for noise-sensitive applications requiring active system cooling. It monitors the temperature of up to two remote sensor diodes, its own internal temperature, and controls up to four fans for optimal performance and minimum acoustic noise. The chip features dynamic TMIN control mode, automatic fan speed control, and thermal protection to prevent system or component overheating.

Key Features:

  • Controls and monitors up to 4 fans
  • 1 on-chip and 2 remote temperature sensors
  • Dynamic TMIN control mode for intelligent system acoustics optimization
  • Automatic fan speed control based on measured temperature
  • Enhanced acoustic mode reduces user perception of changing fan speeds
  • Thermal protection feature via THERM output
  • Monitors the performance impact of IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® 4 Processor thermal control circuit via THERM input
  • Supports 2-wire and 3-wire fan speed measurement
  • Limit comparison of all monitored values
  • Pb-free device
