This 160-pin component controls various peripheral components (Western Digital SVGA controller, flash memory, and EISA ID registers) on an external dedicated 16-bit bus, and it supports the required I/O logic (floppy controller, IDE, serial, parallel, mouse, etc.) on an 8-bit bus. This device also controls all I/O requests to the Xpress system when interfacing to the 32-bit EISA host bus.
