To be used with a 34 pin Sony CD-ROM Interface card like the Sony COR333.
The Sony COR333 is the default interface card, which works with the SLCD.SYS driver under DOS.
Bootable driver disk has been added.
Some sound cards may also have this interface built in.
A floppy cable can also be used, as long as you keep pin1 of each end of the cable on pin1 on both devices.
This drive is known to suffer from the capacitor plague. That means the SMD capacitors are very prone to leaking, which causes corrosion on the PCB. To replace those capacitors, check out this list:
Larger: 6,5x6,5x5,5mm (lwh) C315,C316,C322,C323,C324: 100uF 6.3V C214,C215: 47uF 16V
Tiny: 4,2x4,2x5,5 (lwh) C213: 10uF 16V C335: 1uF 50V
SMD-can (low profile) form factor: C112,C311,C312: 10uF 10V C101: 15uF 10V (There have been no issues after I've replaced it with 10uF 10V) C137,C138: 10uF 6,3V (There have been no issues after I've replaced them with 10uF 10V)
SMD-can capacitors can easily be replaced by capacitors placed on their side.
